Children (ages 6-12)

Nandita Natarajan leads collective world music and musical theatre singing classes in Geneva for children aged between 6 and 12 years. Classes are multidisciplinary and include singing, dancing and drama. Young singers learn to sing in groups (canon, harmonisation, polyphony, circle songs), work on vocal technique and expression on stage.

This class starts in January 2020.

World music singing classes include:

  • Discovery of the world music & musical theatre repertoire 
  • Vocal practice in groups and learning to sing in motion
  • Vocal technique
  • Improvisation
  • Interpretation and stage expression
  • Basics of musical literacy
  • Preparing students to perform and express themselves in public

  • Discovery of the musical theatre repertoire (American, French) and world folk music repertoire
  • Vocal technique and breathing exercises (exploring the connection between breathing, body and voice)
  • Regular practice of circle songs and improvisation
  • Musical theory, sign seeing
  • Vocalisations, collective and polyphonic songs, solos and duets performances
